The Catcher in the Rye Response to Literature- Quotations
Student Objectives- Students will analyze a quote from the
novel in both writing and illustration using their knowledge of the themes,
motifs, and symbols in the novel.
- You
will choose one of the following quotations to analyze (circle the one you
choose.)
- You
will respond to the quote in a paragraph of 6-8 sentences including ALL of
the following-
1.addressing
the meaning of the quote to the story
2.
a particular theme in the novel
3. a symbol or motif in the novel
4.
address the comment the quote makes on life in general.
