Background: Holden is expressing his anger and his hurt about the death of his younger brother.
Symbolism: Holden is very angry about the death of his younger brother and I think that he is holding all of that anger in.
Theme: This addresses the topic of dealing with death at a young age. I feel that dealong with death is hard for anyone but especially for younger people because we don't really understand why death has to happen. We also don't know how to deal with it properly.

Life connection: My connection to this quote is very deep because this was exactly how i felt when i lost my grandma. I was in the first stage of grief, which is denial and anger.

Life Connection: In life, many teenagers, like myself, have to deal with an immediate family death. So, there are many different ways to cope and adjust to it, like anger.
